Motherhood with Chronic Illness

Becoming a mum is something I've dreamed of for as long as I can remember, but living with multiple disabling chronic illnesses meant I had SO many questions about how pregnancy, birth and motherhood might look for me.

From navigating pregnancy with hEDS, PoTS, MCAS and chronic migraine, to preparing for birth with complex medical needs, recovering from an emergency C-section and adapting everyday life with a newborn, it's certainly been quite the journey already.

Motherhood brings a whole new set of challenges, particularly when you're already managing chronic pain, fatigue, unpredictable symptoms and physical limitations. I've been learning how to adapt everything from feeding and lifting to sleep, baby equipment and our daily routines, whilst trying to look after my own health too.

Here I'm sharing my experiences of becoming a mum with chronic illness, including the preparations, practical adaptations, things I've learnt and all the unexpected moments along the way. I'll also be sharing useful resources, birth preparation templates and anything else I discover that might help make pregnancy and parenting a little more accessible.

There's SO much I'm still figuring out, but I'm excited to share this next chapter of Positively Chronic_ with you!
